Gold Winning Entries from Early Light Media and Mammoth Creative Advance to National Competition
BALTIMORE — The American Advertising Federation (AAF) District 2 has announced the 2020 American Advertising Award district winners. In total, American Advertising Federation of Baltimore (AAFB) winners received four district level awards; 2 Gold ADDY Awards and 2 Silver ADDY Awards. Gold-winning entries from Early Light Media and Mammoth Creative will automatically advance to the National American Advertising Awards, taking place April 24-26, 2020 in Washington, D.C.
The District 2 Awards are the second tier of the American Advertising Federation’s (AAF) national awards program, and encompasses the Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York and Baltimore chapters of the AAF.
“Baltimore is a city with tremendous creative horsepower,” said Matt McDermott, AAFB president and AVP, Creative Strategy at idfive. “We’re proud of the firms that are putting a spotlight on our talent and our region.”
The AAFB District 2 Winners are:
- Gold ADDY awarded to Early Light Media for “Under Armour – Seconds Matter” in the category of Video Editing
- Gold ADDY awarded to Mammoth Creative for “2019 ADDY Awards” in the category of Ad Club Advertising
- Silver ADDY awarded to Mission Media for “STX: Axxis” in the category of Cinematography
- Silver ADDY awarded Three Seas Media for “2019 ADDY Video” in the category of Ad Club Advertising
The American Advertising Awards is a three-tiered national competition with the first tier consisting of other local club entrants vying for recognition as the very best in their markets. Top winners on the local level are then eligible to compete against other winners in one of 15 district competitions. Gold winners at the district level are automatically advanced to the national competition, where one winner will rise above over 40,000 entries nationwide and be awarded the top prize of National Best of Show.
The American Advertising Awards competition is the industry’s largest and most representative competition — attracting more than 40,000 entries every year in local competitions. Gold winners at the local level move on to the regional competition, competing with agencies from Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, Delaware, Virginia and Washington, D.C. A win at the district level earns a spot in the National American Advertising Awards Competition. National winners will be announced during the AAF’s national conference, Admerica, now taking place virtually this summer. (Dates and times to be announced.)
